As part of a collaborative grant from the Department of Energy,
Nova Photonics operates the motional Stark effect with background
polychromator (MSE-BP) diagnostic on KSTAR, the Korea
Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research (KSTAR). The MSE-BP
system was originally built by MIT for the Alcator C-Mod tokamak. It was
moved to KSTAR in 2015. Nova Photonics has been operating the diagnostic
since 2019.
