Nova Photonics has received a Phase II STTR grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to work with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory's Plasma and Ion Source Technology group to develop a large area, high current, reliable ion source for a diagnostic neutral beam system. The technology is revelant to many other applications, including ion implantation and proton accelerators.
